Rugby world cup Chart

In class this term we are learning about statistics so we had to make graphs based on the rugby world

 cup pre 2011. Here are the hope you enjoy. Johnny is the top of 2 of the charts which is who has the most points and he has the most drop goal and the other top person is Gavin  and he is on top of who has the most conversions and 2 in who has the most points  so those two players are good rugby players cause they have a lot of points.

We had to go around the whole school asking everyone how do you think will win the world cup. here is a graph showing the result. I found it fun I predicted that New Zealand will get the most votes and I was right

Parvana

Week 1 Writing

This week we had tree pictures to make a story here is my story and the pictures hope you enjoy.


Huffing and puffing, he just reached the first step then mumbled to himself ‘I am not gonna make it in time, it is only a matter of time before the minutes run out and the golden key disappears’. Ka ka ka as a furious black bird flies over me as I duck. Then suddenly I felt adrenaline rush through my bones and flesh. Sprinting like lightning I reach the tower door. Creeping as the door opens and I walk on the floor boards.


Argh as chills run down by body as I look around I see dead people, bones and lots of other scary stuff sitting around. Yanking out my piece of paper with the location of the golden key it says it is on a clock that is on the floor. I see it just up ahead swish as a black bird flies past  me then goes to the key then shape shifts wait is that the shiftier my arch enemy ‘NNOO. whahaha you can't beat me this time Lucas, I won’. Then he turned back into the little bird. Swish swish wait it’s the black angry bird from before he goes up to shiftier grabs the key then he swallows the little bird up. Flying slowly the bird came to me then dropped the key by my feet then flew away. Stunned as I just  froze on the spot trying to believe what just happened as I picked up the key and put it in my pocket then I teleport ed to the edge of the world to find the chest.

Aching as my body collapsed on the ground trying to get up but I had no energy left in my veins. Showsh swish as the bird that gave me the adrenaline and the key was just before my eyes, wait what is it doing to me I think I just got put on his back  “man your a good bird. I'm going to name you Vinnie. Good boy, wait, your a boy right? I am so silly you can’t talk!”. ‘Yes I am a boy, Lucas, I like Vinnie as my name’ yelled Vinnie ‘what you can talk do I just say stuff and I get it’ Lucas said stunned. ‘We’re nearly here Lucas’ ‘thanks Vinnie’. Looking around it is so beautiful the sun is  rising so it makes everything orange. ‘ You have arrived at your destination’ hurtling myself off the back of Vinnie I pull out my key and open it ‘WOW’ it is so shiny Vinnie come have a look Vinnie Vinnie where are you’ ‘right behind you I have just shrunken and back to my original size’ taking everything out and putting it in my bag I turn around and ask Vinnie ‘do you want to come home with me’ I ask him ‘Sure I would love to’. Whosh ‘this is my work and home’. Try guess what order I write it in?

Richie Patterson

Today Richie Patterson came in to our school to talk to us about his life. He is a weightlifter he was born in Manukau NZ on a farm. He went to high school at Auckland Grammar school. In high school he played rugby and he said to him self 'I need to get stronger' so at the age of 14 he started doing weightlifting. He went to four Commonwealth games and three Olympics. He got a gold and one silver in the commonwealth games.  The main point that he came is to tell us that it is okay to fail but you have to learn from it and not make that mistake again.

My Holiday

In the first week I went down to Palmerston North for the secondary schools Schick championships because my dad was the coach. it was a fun tournament in the end we came third.

In the second week I went to Hawaii. It was really fun and hot. We went to the USS ARIZONA MEMORIAL and the USS MISSOURI it was really cool seeing and learning about the tragedy and the good parts. I also so went to diamond head crater it was a really long walk up the crater but I survived. Also I went to pipeline which is a very famous surf place and there waves are massive
