S.L.J

We had to make 5 similes for our Summer Learning Journey activity.

It is as fast as a cheetah as she zooms down the track.
It is as skinny as a skeleton as you can see it's bones stick out.
It is as tall as the Burj Khalifa as it pierces the sky.
It is as slow as a snail as it walks down the street.
It is as fat as an elephant as you can hear the ground shake beneath you.

  1. Mōrena Lucas, I hope you are having a good day!

My name is Eliza and I’m working as a blog commenter on the Summer Learning Journey this summer. Have you done the Summer Learning Journey before? I’m looking forward to reading your posts and the other bloggers' posts from the Ako Hiko cluster, over the next few weeks! If you want to know more about me, you can check out my blog.

Ka pai on creating some similes to - I especially like the elephant one. I can see you’ve really thought through this activity! If you were to write some more similes specifically for the runner Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce, what would you write?

I am trying to get better at running myself, although I don't think I will ever be as fast as a cheetah, or Shelly-Ann for that matter! Do you like running or any other sports?

Thank you for writing an awesome post, I really enjoyed reading it. I hope that you will keep blogging with us over the summer. Keep working on the teaser week activities and on the 16th of December you can start the Week 1 activities.

Have a good rest of your day!
    Eliza :)
